Japanese Royals Open Environmental Conference

Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako attended the Global Environmental Action International Conference opening ceremony yesterday (read the Japanese Prime Minister opening remarks here). For this conference, which is taking place in Tokyo, Princess Masako repeated a pale beige hat with rolled crown and darker ribbon around the base of the crown. While it’s not the most exciting hat or ensemble, the mere presence of Crown Princess at such public events (and looking so comfortable) trumps even her millinery.

  1. So wonderful to Masako! I find the color somewhat boring (everyone knows I despise all-beige ensembles), but larger brims suit Masako very well and something we don’t often see on Japanese royals. I also like that she let’s down her long hair. Brava!

  2. Crown Princess Masako looks elegant in her simple suit and hat. It is always rewarding to see her smile. She definitely suits these brimmed hats and neutral color palettes.

  3. I am so happy to see Princess Masako slim and her eyes smiling again. Hopefully she has overcome the obstacles of the past. THANK GOD!
