This Week’s Extras

Before we get to this week’s links, I want to give you all a heads up that starting next weekend, I’ll be offline for 3 weeks for a much needed vacation. There will be new posts here at Royal Hats several times a week while I am gone, including open posts for you to share current comings and goings on in the royal hat world. I hope you’ll keep the royal hat conversation going while I am away!

Last Sunday, Queen Margrethe celebrated the 400th anniversary of St. Peter’s Church in Copenhagen in her chic winter white fur trimmed hat (PPE Agency). Unfortunately, she also stepped out in the blue beanie (Danish Monarchy)

  1. I enjoyed This Week’s Extras HatQueen and I hope that you have a fantastic vacation. You have certainly earned a rest! I wish that Queen Margrethe would bin that blue beanie! I liked the blue fedora the Duchess of Cambridge tried on! This hat shape suits her well. Queen Silvia’s open topped black straw headpiece is ugly. The upcoming documentary on Queen Elizabeth should be good. The Duke of Cambridge suits his military hats and so does his brother. I like the tradition of giving the shamrocks. The Grand Duchess of Luxembourg is looking well but I am wishing she would get out and about in more hats. It was nice of the parents to post more photographs of that little bundle of cuteness Prince Nicolas. Bon Voyage HatQueen!

  2. Have a wonderful time. If you are traveling, hope you arrive there and home safely. Hope your destination is a hat-worthy locale. 🙂
