Day 2 of Danish Summer Cruise

Queen Margrethe continued her visit to Lolland today in Maribo stops at an organic farm, a rehabilitation centre, a lake cruise and the opening of a new park. For these events, she repeated her well-worn red straw hat with folded brim, square crown and ribbon daisy trim. We’ve seen this design on Margrethe many times but it’s pairing today with her white skirt, floral blazer and red accessories always works so well that the repetition really doesn’t matter.

I think this is another instance where not seeing an outfit for a few years makes us able to appreciate it more upon its return. I always love seeing Queen Margrethe in bright colours and thought she looked great today.

You can see a short video of the day’s events here (complete with an adorable interaction between the Queen and a wee piglet).

  1. Queen Margarethe looks perfect in this outfit! The hat is the perfect accompaniment for the outfit! (I don’t care that we’ve seen it so often. I like it every time.)

  2. Another good hat (even if oft-repeated) for Margrethe. I think this is one of her go-tos almost every year for her cruises. I especially love the color for her.

  3. Great style and color on her – gosh, I bet every year when QEII reads about QM’s sailing vacation, she is so sad she is not able to do the same anymore, sans the royal yacht now.
