While we did not see many new royal hats in October, we saw several spectacular repeats (many of which, curiously, were in similarly saturated shades of blue and purple). Based on your comments, there were seven repeated millinery designs stood out to you in October as particularly impressive.
Click on any of the photos below to jump back to original posts with additional pictures and information on each design. Here are your seven finalists, in the order that the hats were worn:
Empress Michiko’s cerulean blue rimmed saucer hat with velvet bow worn on an Oct 2 visit to Iwate
Crown Princess Mary’s royal blue felt hat with feather trim by Susanne Juul worn for the Opening of Parliament, Oct 3
Queen Elizabeth’s turquoise tweed hat with black feather flowers by Rachel Trevor Morgan worn on Oct 13
Duchess of Cornwall in Philip Treacy’s purple felt hat with raised brim and feather trim worn in Poundbury, Oct 27
Queen Silvia welcoming Pope Francis to Sweden on October 31 in a blue feathered calot hat
Voting will remain open until next Friday, September 30 at midnight GMT and each computer or mobile device can vote twice per day for as many hats as you wish. To avoid unnecessary influence, results will remain hidden until the poll closes. Have fun voting!
