Danish Queen Opens Reformation Exhibition

Queen Margrethe was at The Round Tower in Copenhagen yesterday to open a collection of art commissioned from 25 prominent Danish artists on the significance of the Protestant Reformation. She repeated her burgundy hat with upfolded, bumper style brim and a pair of feathers on the side. The scale, pattern and placement off the feathers is my favourite part of the hat and gives it a decidedly modern and artistic touch.

  1. While I am not always a fan of Queen Margrethe’s hats and clothing choices, I think she looks wonderful in this hat and this color. She seems to be a woman who is comfortable with her style and that makes her exude a confidence which allows her to carry off styles that most women would be unable to do.

  2. I like it and all that, but like a lot of M’s get ups it does look a bit like it’s from the 80’s. still she’s got her style and it works for her. Would love to meet her, she always seems like a fascinating woman.
