Royal Ascot 2017 Day 2: Wrap Up

Royal Ascot | Royal Hats With news of the Duke of Edinburgh’s hospitalisation this morning, Lord Fellowes stepped in for the carriage procession to open the second day of races today at Ascot. He repeated the black silk hat he  wore on Day 1.

And finally, I sign off today with my “Nod to Milliners” pick, a pair of flowering cactus hats made by staff at Petershams Millinery Suppliers in London. I realise this stretches my classification of ‘milliners’ but these hats are such conversation pieces (with amazing detail) that I couldn’t resist sharing. Brilliant and bonkers- what Ascot hats should be.

See you all tomorrow!
