The following new millinery designs caught my eye this week:

Striking brimless red felt hat with beautifully stitched leaf trim from Aussie brand Rachael Henderson Millinery
Purple straw oblique saucer with silver silk trim from UK milliner Dillon Wallwork
The prettiest cream straw ruffled percher with floral and net trim from Rosie Olivia
Stunning shape on this unembellished blue felt stylized fedora from Danish milliner Susanne Juul
Black straw folded headpiece from Scottish milliner Maggie Mobray
Bold green and navy straw colour blocked fedora from American brand Lifted Millinery
Charming percher from Tasmanian milliner Cessiah Alice with pink leather base and oversize pompom dahlia
Italian milliner Guilia Mio, who is now based in the UK, recently won the Parkins Fabric competition hat making competition with this red felt design with stunning handmade felt and feather flowers which wowed judge Rachel Trevor Morgan. The cream straw boater with rainbow feather trim from her upcoming spring collection has also caught my eye.

And this incredible literary themed headpiece from British milliner Bee Smith.

A new Swedish princess arrived early yesterday morning. The photo shared here was taken by her father- we’ll learn her name on Monday morning. Congratulations and best wishes to Princess Madeleine, Chris, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas on this new addition to their family.

  1. I’ve been watching these Ascot dress code videos for years now, and this is probably my least favorite. The choice of outfits and hats for most of the women are not exciting unfortunately (one even looked like a beach hat, which just shouldn’t be worn at Ascot!), but the men really do look good in the video; a lot more color and patterns than in past videos.

  2. Giulia Mio’s straw boater with the brim overlaid with simple wing feathers in amazing parrot colours – so original and beautiful! thanks HQ!

  3. That book hat is quite something! I find myself wishing I lived in a less windy part of the world – that hat looks like it could just take wing and fly away.
BTW Cornwall has been swapped for Cambridge – “The Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall in construction hats…”

  4. Princess Kiko wore a simple black bowler hat today for a ceremony marking the 73rd anniversary of U.S. air raids during World War II.
